We are excited to announce the first meeting of a monthly paper workshop in “Dirty History: An Interdisciplinary Workshop in Agriculture, Environment, and Capitalism.”  Our first author is Luke Manget, PhD candidate in History at UGA, who will be sharing a dissertation chapter draft entitled “‘Beasts in the Garden’: Class, Conservation, and Ginseng in post-Civil War Appalachia.”

The workshop will be held in the beautiful (but arctic) conference room of Leconte Hall on Friday, November 18, at 3:30 pm.  Hope to see you all there.
